Ambolley to launch ‘Different Shades’ album

Saxophonist, rapper and composer, Gyedu-Blay Ambolley will launch his latest album, Different Shades of Ambolley on Thursday, December 19 at the Alliance Francaise in Accra.

Vibrating with Ambolley’s usual danceable grooves, the 10 songs on the album are a blend of Afro-beat, jazz and highlife servings.

Wanlov and Mensa were featured on separate tracks on Different Shades and they will perform alongside Ambolley at the launch.

The Simigwa man will be backed at the launch by his vibrant nine-piece Sekondi band which includes brilliant players like percussionist Shikome, trombonist Ofori and saxophonists Seun and Colonel Faat.

The Institute Français in Ghana and the Alliance Française in Accra are supporting the Different Shades launch which kicks off at 8.00pm.

Copies of the album will be available for sale at the event.
