Merchant Bank gets new MD

The new owners of Merchant Bank has appointed Nilla Selormey as the new Managing Director designate.

She is a Corporate Banker with 20 years experience in West Africa having worked with Ecobank extensively, with brief stints at Fidelity Bank and Zenith Bank. According to her LinkedIn profile, she is currently head of Special Projects at Ecobank Transnational Incorporated. Selormey holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Henley Management College, UK.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the board of directors of FORTIZ and signed by one of the directors Emmanuel Botchway.

The statement also announced that it has formally and official taken over Merchant Bank Ghana.

The statement further assured the general public and other shareholders that we are committed to achieving our objectives or Merchant Bank.

" This includes putting all the human and capital resources necessary for the success at the bank".

They also thanked the public especially the customers of Merchant Bank and Staff for their patience and support so far.

Miss Selormey takes over from Joe Tetteh who recently took his leave prior to his retirement from the bank.
