Expenditure will be low next year - Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama says his government’s topmost priority next year will be to keep expenditure on the low as a means to meet its targets.

He revealed that although the country is going through turbulent times, “government has tried to keep expenditure down and has tried to increase income” so that citizens can enjoy the better Ghana agenda.

Addressing children who were drawn from the 10 regions at the annual President Christmas party at the Flagstaff House, President Mahama indicated that some measures have been put in place to ensure that Ghanaians enjoy the better Ghana agenda in the coming year.

He also assured the children that next year would be better saying, “I want to assure you that next year is going to be better because the economy is responding positively and I am sure that it will continue to respond positively, and so the hardship will continue to reduce as we go into the future,” he added.
