Franklin Cudjoe willing to serve Ghana - Kofi Bentil

Vice President of Imani Ghana, Kofi Bentil, has indicated that Mr. Frankin Cudjoe is willing to serve the country and work with any government provided a conducive environment is created to operate.

This comes on the back of the resignation of Mr. Cudjoe from a 16-member Post Forum Implementation Committee on the sustainability of the Single Spine Pay Policy (SSPP) which was inaugurated in August 2013 by the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations.

Franklin Cudjoe resigned from his position on the Committee last week alleging the Ministry of Finance was usurping the authority of the Ministry of Employment under which the Single Spine Sustainability committee worked.

The Ministry of Finance in a press statement has since described the allegations as baseless.

But speaking to Citi News, Kofi Bentil who spoke on behalf of Franklin Cudjoe said Mr. Cudjoe was willing to use his expertise to serve the country.

“All of us are willing to work with any government to make this country better. But that does not also mean that we would do anything at all so it’s the simple situation that if there is something that we can do to help make things better for this country, we will but clearly the circumstances under which we do that must be conducive for us to contribute what we want to contribute,” Mr Bentil said.

According to him, Mr Cudjoe had to resign because the environment was not conducive enough for him to operate efficiently.

“There must be sufficient circumstance or the environment must be there for him to be able to contribute. We thought that in this particular situation, it was not exactly so and that is why he had to resign.”
