D.Cryme collaborates with Chase on new single

As part of preparation towards the release of his second album, Tema based hiplife artiste, D.Cryme, has released a new single ‘Memories On the Wall.’

The release by D.Cryme is the fifth track on his upcoming Arrival album scheduled for release early this year.

It features Ghanaian RnB singer, Chase and could easily be adjudged as one of the best pieces from Twi Pop records after Kill Me Shy.

Produced by Mix Master Garzy, Memories on the Wall which has both RnB and hiplife feel is about a man professing his love for a woman who has stood by him through the most difficult times of his life when he had nothing.

It is a story about a childhood lover and creates a scenario in which men appreciate the love shown them by their lovers and would proclaim that “You are mine” at any time.

In an interview with Showbiz last Monday, the ‘Komkom na maye’ singer said that Memories On the Wall is one of his best songs on his upcoming album because he spent much time on it to bring out the “right taste” his fans have yearned for long.

He said unlike most of his tracks where he did the singing and had other featured artistes to do the rap verse, the same cannot be said of this track because he needed variety and additional style to bring out the uniqueness he desired.

“There is no doubt that Chase is a great RnB singer in this country and so when I needed someone to feature on this track, he was the first name that came to mind and I have no regrets at all in featuring him.

“Love themed songs are his comfort zone and he brought out that right feel with his soothing voice. I know that my fans will enjoy this song because it talks about love and love is special to all” he stated.

Real name, Darlington Kwasi Agyekum, D.Cryme came to prominence on the hiplife front when he released his debut single, Kill Me Shy, in 2010 which earned him the Ghana Music Awards (GMA) Hiplife song of the year, the following year.

Before the release of Memories on the wall, he had earlier last year released four singles including 1step 2back, Komkom na maye, Woman of Wonder (WoW) which featured UK based Ghanaian artiste, Fuse ODG and Matters of the Heart.
