Ghana to benefit from housing database

Access to information in the housing sector is expected to significantly improve soon.

This follows the establishment of Ghana’s first housing data and Research Company called Housing data Ghana.

Housindata Ghana is a one stop shop where users of information in the housing sector can source data for comparative analysis, pricing, infrastructure growth in the housing sector.

Ghana’s housing sector has in the past decade witnessed a significant growth with the advent of mortgages, estate developments and plush high rise buildings.

Chief Executive Officer of Housindata, Kelvin Kwaku Yeboah told Citi Business News, his outfit could not have come at a better time now that the industry is springing up fast.

“We are trying to create a central database and information management system for the housing sector of Ghana so that at any particular time in the life of Ghana, we will know the number of developers we have in the country- foreign and domestic. We will also know the number of total houses we have built in the country in year, with their regional distribution,” he explained
