Man stabs 64-year-old auntie over money

A 64-year-old woman was on Monday stabbed several times by her nephew because she reportedly refused to give him money.

Ebenezer Agowah, the alleged perpetrator of the heinous crime, got furious when his aunt, Sarah Allotey, declined his request for pocket money and locked her in their living room.

Catherine Allotey, who is Madam Sarah Allotey's granddaughter told Joy News with the doors locked, Ebenezer stabbed the elderly woman in the throat and stomach several times.

She said neigbours immediately called in the Police, but because Ebenezer had locked the door, they were unable to enter the room to rescue the woman who was bleeding profusely.

The Police, according to Catherine, shot at Ebenezer through a small opening in a window in an attempt to stop him from further injuring the woman.

The severely injured woman has been sent to the Cocoa Clinic at Kaneshie where she is receiving treatment while Ebenezer has also been sent to the Dansoman Police station.
