Agbogbloshie fire victims appeal for help

Victims of the gas explosion which occurred on Thursday at Agbogbloshie in Accra are calling on the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) to come to their aid.

According to reports, about 2,000 houses were burnt in the fire and thousands of properties destroyed.

Some of the affected persons who spoke to Citi News appealed for help from government because they have been rendered homeless.

A resident said: “We are begging the government to come to our aid. All our belongings have been burnt by the fire and we have nowhere to lay our heads.”
