Tagoe Sisters video collection out at last

It has been long in coming but now the Tagoe Sisters at last have a collection of videos of some of their most popular songs on the market.

The duo of Panyin and Kakra are among the finest exponents of contemporary gospel music in the country.

They have been around for about three decades and have put out several hit songs but their fans have not been able to own a collection of videos of their songs till now.

The sisters say for nearly a decade their fans have been asking for a collection of their videos and are happy to have delivered something good to them now.

“We are in an era of visuals. The variety of social media available now is driven by visuals so we understand the fans when they insist on seeing our videos,” the sisters say.

Marketed and distributed by Ernest Kwesi Ennin’s Media Excel Productions, the collection was shot and edited by Kwasi Oduro Jnr and Komla Adosii of Golden Eye Studios in Accra.

The eight songs covered on the VCD are: Anka Matete, Ore Kyekye, Okamafo Jesus, Aban Denden, Etoe Betwa, Yedi Nkunim and Fa Bibiara Ma No.

“May you be lifted and be healed of all your troubles in your life through the power of the Holy Spirit as you watch these videos,” part of the notes on the VCD cover says.

According to Ennin of Media Excel Productions, public response to the collection since it hit the market has been quite good.

“Promotion is going on across the country and patronage has been encouraging. The technical team did a great job on the videos so we have first-rate work out there for the fans,” Ennin says.

The video collection, according to sources close to the Tagoe Sisters, is a precursor to an album of new songs they are currently putting together in the studio.
