A Principal Medical Officer at the Trust Hospital, Dr Akwesi Adomako, and an Event and Marketing consultant, Fred Darko, have been appointed onto the board of the Ghana Weightlifting Federation (GWF).

Their appointment, which is expected to be ractified at the GWF ordinary congress, scheduled for May this year, will enable the two to replace two outgoing members .

Dr Adomako, who is a sports medicine specialist, has been a team doctor to the various national football teams, and is therefore expected to bring his vast expertise in medicine to bear on the operations of the national weightlifting team, The Black Cranes.
