Fidelity Bank supports Otumfuo’s anniversary

Fidelity Bank has donated GH¢50,000 and assorted drinks towards the 15th anniversary celebration of the enstoolment of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

One of the key pillars of Fidelity Bank’s corporate social responsibility is education. The bank realises that Otumfuo has during his reign made education a priority in Asanteman.

It is in this regard that the bank made the donation to support Otumfuo’s long-term agenda in education.

The bank believes giving to the Asantehene will in the long run affect the lives of many people because he, in his 15-year reign, has initiated a number of development projects that have positively impacted the lives of people in Asanteman and beyond.

Speaking on behalf of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Akyempemhene, Oheneba Adusei Poku, lauded Fidelity Bank for the gesture.

Speaking to the media after the presentation, the Managing Director of Fidelity Bank, Mr Edward Effah, noted that eight of the bank’s 50 branches were in Kumasi and as such the bank was concerned about the well-being of the region and would continue to invest in the region and its people.

He commended Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for his development-oriented nature which had brought transformation to the region.

Mr Effah also commended Otumfuo for investing heavily in education, which is a catalyst for eradicating poverty in the country.

He recounted that Fidelity Bank had a genial relationship with the Manhyia Palace, and deemed it prudent to be a part of the historic celebrations.

The Board Chairman of the Bank, Mr William Panford Bray, and other bank officials accompanied Mr Effah to the Manhyia Palace.
