Arrival at KIA

Members of the Saviour Church of Ghana (SCG), of which Opanyin Adusei is the General Superintendent, converged on the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) in Accra, to welcome him on his arrival back home last Sunday.

Opanyin Adusei, who disembarked the flight adorned in the colours of the Ghana flag, was hailed and cheered by the welcoming party.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic, Opanyin Adusei, who is also a member of the Council of State, said he was proud to be a Ghanaian, and that his award and recognition was for the country. “This award conferred on me has really humbled me and made me aware that people are watching and that God is always aware of whatever you are doing,” he said.

He said the honour done him also indicated that the world appreciated the country’s contribution to the global cocoa industry. He noted that ensuring the sustainability of the cocoa sector was the responsibility of all stakeholders and not that of farmers only.
