Bro Philemon is first Ghanaian gospel artiste to be verified on Facebook

M.anifest was the first Ghanaian hiphop rapper, Bisa Kdei, the contemporary highlife artiste following up and Dadie Opanka, the hiplife rapper to be verified on Facebook.

China-based Ghanaian gospel singer, instrumentalist, producer and songwriter, Bro Philemon finally got the long awaited blue twitter verification badge and makes him the first Ghanaian gospel artiste to be verified in the world on the Facebook platform.

His account with Facebook now carries a ‘blue tick’ sign to show the authentic account of the gospel singer, distinguishing it from parody accounts of Bro Philemon. Unlike Twitter which has many Ghanaian celebrity figures verified on its platform, getting verified on Facebook is more difficult.

Facebook announced the launch of verified pages and profiles, which will make it easier for users to find official fan pages and accounts for top brands, celebrities, government officials and other public figures.

The 2013 African Gospel Music Award winner for Artiste of the Year Middle East /Asia category now joins the likes of John Dumelo, Dadie Opanka, Yvonne Nelson, Bisa Kdei, Funny Face, Jackie Appiah, Fuse ODG and M.anifest.

The Ghana Gospel Industry Awards (GGIA) 2013 award winner for ‘Best Collaboration of the Year’ shared the news with GhanaMusic.com and told us how excited he was.

With only 13,165 likes on Facebook, he has proven a point that good works can be noticed from afar.

Bro Philemon hopes to fulfill the scripture of Jesus Christ by spreading the Good News to all nations through his music but in the mean time would want his worldwide fans to enjoy his rendition of the popular ‘It Is Well’ song crafted by him which features Morris Baby Face.
