NDC chapter of Cote D'Ivoire Executives inaugurated

The Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) chapter in Ivory Coast, Cote D’Ivoire was last week inaugurated with the task to work hard to mobilize members to come and vote to retain the party in power in 2016.

The executives are, Alhaji Suraju Imam, Chairman and Mr Andrews Kwabena Owusu, Mr Ansah Serebour, Hajia Fati Iddi Soule and Madam Golda Bentil and as first, second, third and fouth Vice Chairman Respectively, Mr Musah Slemana, Secretary and Mr Peter Kwasi Akoto, Deputy Secretary, Mr Dokenoo Justice Kofi, Organizer and Hajia Fati Haruna, Deputy Organizer, Alhaji Baba Adam, Treasurer and Madam Fati Souley, Deputy Treasurer, Nana Emmanuel Addo Lardy, Financial Secretary and Richard Newlove Amoah, Deputy Financial Secretary.

Others are Madam Peace Yawo Mensah, Women Organizer and Hafisatu Mahama and Eunice Doku, as first and second Deputy Women Organizers respectively, Reverend Johnson Setsoafia, Youth Organiser and Mr Kwame Erskine, Deputy Youth Organiser, Nana George Annan Gyamfi, Propaganda Secretary and Madam Joyce Serwuno Marveille, the Chapter Representative in Ghana.

They NDC was represented by Dr Carl Arhin, Deputy Director of International Relations of the NDC and sworn-in by Colonel Kaku Corsa, Western Regional Organizer of the NDC.

Alhaji Suraju-Imam, Chairman of the chapter disclosed this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Friday.

He said the inauguration is to prepare the chapter towards the party National Executive Election and plans towards winning votes for the NDC in the 2016 general election.

Alhaji Suraju-Imam the executives of the chapter were focusing on the mobilization of members of the party in all the cities of Cote d’Ivoire for the 2016 election and urged its branches to be united.

He said despite the cries and complaints of hardships by the opposition New Patriotic Party, the Government of the NDC under President John Dramani Mahama was carrying out developmental projects across the country.

Alhaji Suraju-Imam advice members of the party in Ghana to continue to rally behind President Mahama to fulfill the “Better Ghana Agenda” promises made by the party to Ghanaians.

He said Ghana is experiencing rapid development under the NDC and appealed to Ghanaians to rally behind President Mahama to make it possible.

Alhaji Suraju-Imam said the NDC has improve educational infrastructure, health and some social interventions such as the Local Enterprise Skills Development Programme and the youth in Driving which were initiated to reduce the burden of Ghanaians.

He appealed to members of the party to continue to contribute their quota to the country’s development and called on them not to turn their back on the NDC and stay away from statements that have the tendency to destruct the party.

Alhaji Suraju said some member of the party were rewarded for their hard work and urged them to continue to do their best for the party.

The NDC chapter in Cote d’Ivoire was formed in 1992, but was formally inaugurated in 2008 by Mr Kofi Atto, the then NDC Director of International Affairs.
