Societe General reward customers

Societe Generale (SG) Ghana Bank on Monday rewarded 30 of its lucky customers in the first of three mini deposit and win promotion/draw dubbed, ‘the power of GH¢250’, but none of the winners were present at the fun-filled ceremony in Kumasi for their prizes.

The electronically controlled draw, conducted by the National Lotteries Authorities (NLA), witnessed a packed arena of loyal customers from which the winners were later called on their respective cell phones for their prizes.

The prizes ranged from 32-inch Led Digital televisions, Samsung Tab 37.0 lite, 150 refrigerators, Samsung pocket smart phones, microwave oven, 1.5-litre blender and stainless and electrical kettles. The draw was for customers with a minimum deposit of GH¢250 or a multiple of that from May 27, 2014 to August 22, 2014, each of which earned a point and the total was put in a draw for winners to be selected.

In all, 1, 978 customers entered the northern sector draw in which 30 lucky winners were picked. The next draw is scheduled for Takoradi on July 30, with the grand draw fixed for Accra in August. The winner in the grand draw takes home GH¢75,000. The Head of Retail Banking, Mr Kwaku Tweneboa-Kodua, congratulated the winners and, indeed, all the customers who participated in the draw.

According to him, the primary motive of the promotion is to instil the habit of saving in customers of the bank. The bank has been playing a vital role in the economy for at least 150 years. With more than 148,00 employees based in 76 countries, the bank adds to its customer base 32 million clients across the world on a daily basis.
