No Tribe, Daughters and co for Adom Praiz

Their many inspiring compositions have made them household names in the gospel fraternity and gospel groups, No tribe and Daughters of Glorious Jesus would once again feed lovers of gospel music with great songs at this year’s Adom Praiz.

Their often fast-paced, high-tempo rhythms are enough to get any congregation anywhere around the world to dance to the glory of God.

They are part of a line up local artistes including Cecilia Marfo and Joe Mettle, who have been billed to perform on the same platform with American gospel international acts, Cece Winans and Israel Houghton when the show comes off at the Perez Dome on Saturday, August 2.

According to the organisers of Adom Praiz, the concert has provided the platform for local artistes to hit the international limelight and gain more international attention.

Started in 2009, Adom Praiz, which is in its fifth year, gives the rare opportunity for Ghanaian based gospel artistes to rub shoulders with some of the best in the industry around the world.

Her presence at this year’s event will be the second time in four years that American gospel icon, Cece Winans, has performed in Ghana.

The event will also be graced with a performance by Grammy Award-winning American gospel artiste, Israel Houghton, who is highly-rated for his fusion style that brings together elements from gospel, jazz and rock.

“It is going to be the best since the maiden 2009 event, because the station has learnt a lot from the previous shows and is poised to pull off an excellent show.

“ We can convince the public that there won’t be a repetition of what happened last year. We have done our homework well and will be better this year,” Kofi Asare Brako, a member of the organising team told Showbiz last Friday.

In an interview with Showbiz yesterday, contemporary gospel artiste, Joe Mettle, who has performed on stage with international acts like Don Moen, Micah Stampley and Alvin Slaughter said he had “great works in the offing for patrons who will be present on the day."

“The local acts are all exciting in their own ways, and I know we will fill the auditorium with sweet adoration of God’s many blessings for Adom FM and the nation as a whole,” he said.
