SIC Insurance sales agents hold delegates confab

The outgoing President of the Association of SIC Insurance Sales Agents (ASICA), Mr Vincent Sali-Dokpor, has urged agents of SIC Insurance and SICLife to focus on delivering superior customer service to their clients.

Speaking to delegates at the three-day eighth triennial delegates’ conference in Accra, Mr Sali-Dokpor said the theme for the conference, “Excellent Customer Service, the key to profitability – The role of the agent,” was chosen to address the challenges and hurdles to delivering the best of customer care in order to remain profitable.

In her address, the Commissioner of Insurance, Ms Lydia Lariba Bawa, congratulated members of the association on being the first trade association to be formed in Ghana and also for their contribution to the growth of insurance penetration in the country.

The theme for the conference, she noted, was timely, as the National Insurance Commission was trying to address mis-selling and mis-representation of products.

The Managing Director of SIC Insurance, Mrs Doris Awo Nkani, applauded the immense contribution that the agents of the company had made to ensure that SIC Insurance remained the leader in the local insurance industry, stressing that the contribution of the agents to the total premium mobilisation of the company had significantly improved the fortunes of the company.

She urged the agents to focus on the application of excellent customer service, noting that sales executives required that to be successful in the market.

The opening ceremony of the conference was attended by top executives of SIC Insurance, including the Deputy Managing Director in charge of Technical, Mr Kwei-Mensah Ashidan, the Head of IT, Mr Romeo Bugyei, as well as the Managing Director of SICLife, Mr Isa Anafure.
