CONGRATS TO NPP
Author: OSOFO KTK

Most at times the so called defeated party creates trouble and it was the NPP that conceded defeated amidst all what took place. Therefore Obama`s coming was promoted by the NPP. However the concerns of most Ghanaians is the free fall of our currnecy. Obama will come and go and our economy needs proper handling. The monies we borrowed to finance our parties during the canpaign period need paying at the expense of the TAX PAYER. We are DOOMED. (Ya wu)

WAY TO GO FOR CHANGE
Author: Winnie Divinity

Barack Obama first visit in Subsaharian Africa, on Friday 10th of July, is one historic day for me. Since his inauguration day, January 20th, I begun to hope and think bigger for change and more democracy in Africa.

Before to come here in North America, I thought rich countries need real change in Africa, care about us. Since 2003 that I live in Canada, I realized that people here do not care about us and more again governements from rich countries will do something in Africa when they have an interest to gain there. Honestly speaking, I think our governements in Africa are the first responsible of that situation. In 1980, two years before the debt crisis, external debt of Subsaharian Africa was 61 billion dollars and in 2007 195 billion, according to World Bank. Such increasing of debt is one cause of poverty. One reason behind that increasing is the dictatorship. Thus, you can understand that the democracy in Africa will be a big thing that will bring change we need. I hope that our governments will be more conscience as for the deplorable situation of the Black Africa (poverty, dictatorship…).

Barack Obama visit isn’t the first time the President of the most powerful country in the world would be visiting the Subsaharian Africa, the poorest part in the world. However, its visit is different and touches me. Why? If you read carefully my two first paragraph, I used the word ‘’CHANGE’’ three times. For me he is the first president in rich country that bring new era, era of CHANGE, era of more democracy, era of ''do not look at the color of my skin''. Not because his father was an African, but because I think that.

I read on BBC News an article of Nigerian diplomat, Sola Adunfa, who has reacted about the choice of Ghana: « In my time in the foreign service, all of us...would have been mobilised to ensure that President Obama would make at least an airport stop-over in Nigeria next door...We would persuade the White House that a touchdown in Nigeria would serve our mutual interests. », he said. This visit must not be the competition between African countries. UNITED OF AFRICA is very important. We should focus on the fundamental meaning of that visit: will the visit of Barack Obama bring a real change in Africa? Will Africa youth (we are the future of Africa) follow the steps of Barack Obama?

I give the Lord thanks for made such day possible.

Questions to President Mills.

President Obama you ask President Mills the following questions:

1. Did he promise that he will run an all inclusive government? If the answer is YES then how come he has filled all important posts with EWES?
2. Who is in charge of the present Ghana? Is it Rawlings?
3. Since President Mills was mandated by the people to govern the country, what area of the country have seen improvement over Kufour’s administration?
4. We have heard the former President Kufour is currently in Ghana. Did President Mills intentionally fail to invite Kufour to attend your speech?
5. Finally is the NDC on course to make Ghana an HIPC nation once again?

The people of Ghana of which the majority are Christians and Muslims thank the all powerful God for this American Head of State in the person of Barack Obama and his family's visit to our Country both peaceful and successful.
Like any country in the world we Ghanaians also have problems, of which the greatest is poverty.
President Obama I know there is also poverty in America, but I tell you, you have not seen poverty until you have seen the poverty in our country.
The administration will likely tell you that all is well, but I can asure you, that is not the case.
Our country is rich in cocoa, mines, oil, timber etc, but it is the administration that is corrupt.
President Obama our leaders are simply the results of our stinking poverty, where some school children have their classes under trees.
I cry for our youth when I compare them to the youth of your country.
How can they compete on the same platform? Ours are at a disadvantage, where some don't know brekfast.
President Obama I know you can not address all of our problems in Ghana, but I am appealing to you to teach our leaders how to manage economy sussessfully.
We wish you Gods blessings in Ghana.

CPP thanks President Mills

Wednesday, 8 July 2009,

The Convention People's Party (CPP) on Tuesday expressed its gratitude to President John Evans Atta Mills for inviting his colleague Heads of State to join Ghana in marking the centenary of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah.

A statement signed by Mr Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, General Secretary of CPP, said: "The unanimous resolution that was passed to celebrate this event and have it placed on the African Union's calendar of special events would not have been achieved without his kind intervention."

It said the CPP hoped that the commitment would also rapidly translate into a bill being laid before Parliament for the institution of September 21 as a public holiday in remembrance of the founder of Ghana.

"On the 21st of September 1909 the greatest Ghanaian and African patriot was born. The year 2009 therefore marks the centenary year," it said.

"Voted African Personality of the Millennium by the African listeners of BBC, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah defeated other giants like Marcus Garvey, Dr Martin Luther King Jnr. and Nelson Mandela to win this prestigious accolade," the statement added.

It said the chief pride of Dr Nkrumah was the welfare of the people, saying: "We hope that it is by this same standard that a better Ghana seeks to be judged."

Investigations conducted by DAILY GUIDE indicate that some eight Senior Military Officers who have been cited as plotting to eliminate Col. Kwadwo Damoah, former Director Personnel and Manpower of the Ghana Armed Forces, are still being covered, several weeks after the IGP had requested for them to appear for questioning.

The paper is reliably informed that the former Acting Inspector-General of Police, Madam Elizabeth Robertson, on 11th March 2009, wrote to the Military Command, requesting for the suspects to assist in investigations. This was after Col. Damoah had made a report to the police about the threat on his life on 25 February, 2009.

The paper further gathered that the acting IGP followed up with a reminder on her request but that was also treated with contempt.

According to sources, the then Acting Chief of Defense Staff, Rear Admiral ARS Nuno, signed letters to the suspected officers, releasing them to face Police investigators; but this was halted following the change in the Defense Committee.

With the Interior Minister scheduled to appear before Parliament, one hopes that the Military High Command would finally release the said officers.

Yesterday, when this paper got in touch with Rear Admiral ARS Nuno to explain further this interesting development, he remained tight-lipped, saying, “I cannot speak to the issue”.

Interestingly, officers at the Police CID, who were suspected of fanatically following the case, were transferred. At the same time, some of the indicted officers are being posted to more sensitive areas of the security setup.

While one of them is now posted to the Kotoka International Airport, another one is often seen parading the Office of the Chief of Staff at the Osu Castle.

The Deputy Director of the CID at that time, Mr. Ken Yeboah, who took a keen interest in the case, has been transferred to the Eastern Region, leaving the case hanging.

Our checks at Burma Camp indicated that one of the indicted officers is now the Security Coordinator at Ghana’s only international airport and hails from the same town as the current National Security Coordinator.

It is being whispered that he is the brother of the National Security Coordinator and was the ‘notorious’ soldier who asked former President Kufuor whether he was going to hand over power if his party lost the elections.

Also, he is the one who leaked the report on the bogus Board of Inquiry (BOI) set up by Brig General R Winful, under the eyes of ‘one pound’ who is now promoted to Air Vice Marshal, to a private newspaper in Accra for the mud-slugging to begin.

Another, we were told, was the link man between then opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the soldiers, where a strong and massive propaganda was waged for the party.

His boss, a known ‘Church Elder’, was a strong contender for the post of the CDS who has now been appointed an Ambassador.

It would be recalled that few days after Colonel Kwadwo Damoah chastised former President JJ Rawlings for polarizing the military and challenged the authority of Brig General R Winful to set up a BOI, the residence of the former was attacked by a group of unidentified armed men.

Col Damoah’s wife and children had to pack out of their residence for security reasons.

Col. Damoah, had earlier informed his wife that he had gotten hold of details of a meeting held by eight Military officers, which resolved that he should be eliminated.

Is this how the MPs care for Ghana.

This is funny

Its unbelieveable to hear that Some MPs in the legislative Assembly get incentives from the executive branch for helping to sell off State properties to sabotage the national economy and render the nation poor.

Are these the same people who use to say that ;

" I believe in Ghana, and I care for Ghana" ?

Appiah Ofori wrongly thought that he could join the NPP and help to effect some positive changes from within.

But could he be able to change agyekum kufour and his bunch of thieves, whose only aim is to legalize 10% Kickbacks in Ghana politics and call it a lobby fee?

It is simply not possible to transform a homeless person, who had spent almost all his lifetime out there on the street to come home again and follow a normal life?

It just can`t happen in this world.

Which thief will ever accept in public that he is a thief, despite the obvious?

No alcoholic element will also admit to be alcoholic when confronted, regardless of his behavior.

For instance, if you tell your sleeping child to retire to bed, he will definately reply that he`s not sleeping, though it is clear that he is tired.

Atta Aryee can also open a defence for himself in court so long as he remains a suspect, but is it justified to say that he has not stolen from other people`s properties , despite the overwhelming evidence against him?

Listen to how the minority leader is continuing changing his stories and entangling himself in the media at Joy Fm and Peace FM with conflicting statements.

I`ve observed that the more some NPP members try to cook the story, the more they incriminate themselves.

Question :

Is the NPP a party that "denies" public corruption , or it is a party that "embraces" corruption?

Why is it that the whistle-blower has always becomes the victim in accordance with the NPP`s philosophies and doctrines?

The mere fact that the whistle-blower is now being destroyed and attacked with "credibility problems" in the media from all corners of NPP supporters and politicians without calling for any serious investigations into the allegation , but wants to "Cover Up", depicts a lot about the evil mindset of the NPP as "Non - Accountable and lawless " political party.

It is not surprise anymore with the alledge report from certain circles, that some members of the NPP have openly supported Muntaka, and thereby helping to make the whistle-blower turning to become the victim.

What is the reason; why kufour failed to help pass the whistle-blower act which he promised Ghanaians, when he was in office?

This reveals the true colors of most members in the NPP.

Are they communists elements , or they also descended from the United Party tradition?

Why do this Anago people always think they are better than us? Well it is because of money, that's how they think. But if we could beat them in soccer with 10 men, why is it still difficult for them to realise that we are streets ahead of them despite their decades of oil stealing? Now we are starting our oil at the right time. I had a dream we have the same amount of oil as nigeria. They have already destroyed their future in the past. Our system is still better than theirs even without oil, less population etc. Their economic people are running to Ghana; to banking, to schools, etc. They still feel we are inferior!
