In what was a “husband-wife” academic affair, PRESEC-Legon – Abugiss met to book a spot at the quarter final stage of The SHARKS QUIZ COMPETITION.
Both schools showed great potential at the early stages, scoring 50 apiece in the first round which focuses on General Knowledge.
Aburi Girls, first timers in the competition, came strong in the second round edging their counterparts by 5 points to end the round, 95 points to 90 points.
In the third round, a.k.a STEM Round, the “Blue Magicians” showed dexterity in Science and Maths, overcoming the “Royal Beads” and stretching the gap to 20 points.
A last minute effort from ABUGISS, in the one on one could not help, as they were defeated 120 points to 90 points.
Overall, it was an exciting opener to Season 2 of the all round High School competition – The Sharks Quiz.
In the Juniors edition, Ghana Christian High School, Dodowa defeated KBK Academy, East Legon by 125 to 80pts. The Juniors uses a round Robin format which means no school has qualified to the next stage yet.
The SHARKS QUIZ shows on TV3 every weekend, Juniors on Friday at 4:30pm and seniors on Sundays at 2:30pm.
