As part of activities marking this year’s World Oral Health Day, the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital in collaboration with the Ghana Dental Association organized a screening exercise for school children in the Agogo township.

The exercise saw 800 pupils from four basic school receiving free oral screening as well education on maintaining good oral health.

Specialists from the Komfo Anokye Hospital emphasized the need for good oral habit and impressed upon the pupils to avoid acts that could harm their teeth.

Despite the day being dedicated to oral health, the organizers added free eye and ear screening to the exercise to give the beneficiaries an opportunity to know the state of their eyes and ears.

The day was climaxed with the distribution of tubes of Pepsodent toothpaste and toothbrush which were made possible by the Asante Kim North District Health Directorate and Unilever Ghana.
