Ghana Internationals Anthony Annan and Evans Mensah played key roles for HJK Helsinki in their 2-1 victory over Vikingur Gota in the UEFA Champions League playoffs round on Tuesday.
Vikingur were unbeaten in four matches in the Faroe Island top flight league heading into the game but goals from Sebastian Dahlstrom and Atli Gregersen's own goal ensured the Klubi have an advantage ahead of the return encounter.
The hosts got a consolation from Gunnar Vatnhamar in the 51st minute.
The Ghanaian duo lasted the full duration of the match.
Annan and Mensah will be expecting to feature in the second leg next week.
