Asuoso (B/A) Sept. 20, GNA - Residents of Asuoso in the Nkoranza South District have appealed to the Brong-Ahafo Regional office of the Feeder Roads Department to r ehabilitate the three-kilometre feeder road that links the community with Nkoranza to facilitate their economic and social wellbeing. Nana Kwasi Afosa Kudom, Krontihene of Asuosu, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that drivers found it difficult to ply on the road during the wet season. He said the peop le of the area were mainly farmers who cultivate maize, yam and cassava in huge proportions but because of the poor nature of the road, they found it difficult to transport their produce to Nkoranza, the market centre. Nana Kudom, who is the chairman of the Nkoranza district Heavy truck union, said some of the foodstuffs go bad when traders refuse to go to Asuoso to buy the produce because of the nature of the road and when they get to the farm gate, the traders purchased the foodstuffs at very cheap prices. He called on the Nkoranza South District assembly to liaise with the Authorities of the Department of Feeder Roads to consider their plight and assist them to get easy access to Nkoranza.
