Boateng set to complete Sassuolo move
Kevin-Prince Boateng will imminently complete a move from Eintracht Frankfurt to Sassuolo, Goal understands.
The two clubs have reached an agreement over a fee for the midfielder, who will return to Serie A for a third stint after spending time previously with Milan.
He will sign a three-year deal at the Modena club, though the cost of his move is not yet clear.
He enjoyed an excellent season in the Bundesliga, where he played 31 times and scored six goals. Moreover, he helped his side win the DFB Pokal, defeating Bayern Munich in the final.
One of the primary driving forces behind his move back to Italy is thought to be that his partner Melissa Satta and his son Maddox both continue to live there.
Sassuolo will become the ninth different club of the 31-year-old’s career, which has seen him play in all of Europe’s big four leagues and has notably included spells at Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund and Milan.
May’s DFB Pokal success was just a second major trophy for the 15-time capped Ghana international, who has previously won the Coppa Italia with the Rossoneri.
