CAF bans referee David Laryea for life as others get 10-year ban

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has slapped Ghanaian referees with life bans with other receiving a minimum of ten-year suspensions.

This decision was arrived at following the revelations of the Anas exposé, which caught several of the referees on camera receiving bribes.

On 5th August 2018, the Disciplinary Board of Confédération Africaine de Football held a meeting in order to decide over the cases of the referees named by media as being corrupted on CAF and Federation Matches.

The latest move by the continent's football governing body comes few days after the Referees Appointment Committee announced that it has suspended 78 referees for alleged corrupt practices
