National Organizer and Campaign Coordinator of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams insists the clashes at the residence Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo was started by the Security personnel at his gate.

He said when the NDC supporters got to the gate of Nana Addo, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), a security personnel told them to die down their noise because the NPP flagbearer was sleeping at that hour and when one supporter replied that it was a main road, he fired a warning shot to disperse the crowd.

Kofi Adams, who said he heard the gun shot at Ako Adjei interchange during the health walk, initially thought it was fire crackers until he met the situation.

According to him, the leadership of NDC did a very good job by restraining the supporters who were in their thousands because it would have been a different story if that action was not taken.

Speaking to Asempa FM on Monday afternoon, the Campaign Coordinator was happy that the police is handling the case and telling the truth which is far from what the NPP is telling the media.

He is sure that they will investigate to the latter and bring those involved to book.

On Sunday November 13, there were clashes between the security man at Nana Addo’s house and some supporters of the NDC who were embarking on a health walk in front of the Nima residence of the opposition leader.

There were a few gun shots during the confrontation. Both parties have on separate occasions accused each other of masterminding the violence.
