Chief calls on government to give Ekwamkrom a face-lift

The Wirempemhene of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area Nana Kobina Ekwam X has appealed to the Government to assist the people of Ekwamkrom to construct a number of developmental projects to help give a face-lift to the community.

Projects needed include; potable water, a market, Library, community center, public place of convenience, access roads, Clinic or a Communuty-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound.

Nana Ekwam made the appeal at a News conference held at his palace and called on the government to extend a helping hand to the community as far as the One District One Factory (1D1F).

Nana Ekwam who is also the Chief of Ekwamkrom assured the government of the people’s preparedness to provide adequate communal labour for any assistance needed.

He regretted that, for so many years, the inhabitants of Ekwamkrom have been woefully denied of any government support in terms of development projects, leaving community in lack of the aforementioned facilities.

He announced that his administration was prepared to release large track of land to support One District One Factory project.

He stressed that, if the community becomes a beneficiary of the 1D1F, it will help jobless youth in the area to obtain jobs and to contribute their quota towards the growth of the town.

The Wirempemhene stated that Ekwamkromwasone the peaceful communities in Gomoa Central that and called all on all sons and daughters both home and abroad to unite as one people to bring development to the town.

“Our capital strength and loan as a town may not be sufficient enough for the developmental agenda in the area and we are calling on other corporate bodies and well-wishers to extend aid to the community so that we can accomplish our mission”.
