Citi Business Festival: Dr. Bawumia speaks at first event

The 2018 Citi Business Festival will kick off this morning with the African Sovereign Wealth Funds Summit which will be held at Marriot Hotel, Airport City at 9:00am.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be the Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker.

Other speakers include Paulo Gomes, Chairman of Africa Sovereign Wealth Advisory Group, Michael Kottoh, co-author and Managing Partner at Konfidants, Mr. Solomon Asamoah, CEO Ghana Infrastructure Fund, Mr. Mamadou Mbaye Executive Director, FONSIS, Mr. Serge Thierry Mickoto, Managing Director FGIS, from Gabon.

The rest are Mr. Carlos Lopes, CEO, Fundo Soberano de Angola, Dr. Ibrahim Assane Mayaki, CEO of NEPAD Agency.

The African Sovereign Wealth Funds Summit, which is the maiden, will highlight challenges faced by African governments in leveraging financial resources needed to transform their economies.

The theme of the summit is “Financing Africa’s Transformation: the Role of Sovereign Wealth Funds”.

The event is a Citi FM and Citi TV event, in partnership with the Afrochampions Initiatives.

The programme will be live on Citi TV and Citi FM.
