Columbus Crew captain, Jonathan Mensah
Ghana defender and Columbus Crew captain, Jonathan Mensah has applauded his teammates for a strong comeback win against New York Red Bulls.
After conceding an early lead goal, Columbus Crew had to produce one of the best finishes of a game, levelling and taking the lead with 15 minutes remaining.
Patryk Kilmala gave New York Red Bulls a 25th-minute lead but Mensah and his charges showed why they are champions after Darlington Nagbe levelled on 74 minutes before Miguel Berry netted the winner with two minutes left.
"The fact that we aren’t where we want to be should be enough motivation for us to keep fighting and keep pressing on. Thanks to our fans for the support, Great comeback," Mensah wrote after the game.
