MyNewsGh.com has obtained from the security agencies the role played by Asante Kotoko’s notorious supporter, Seidu Yakubu Mba in the kidnap of the two Canadian Women who have since reunited with their families.

This comes at a time the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) continue to battle over his association with the two parties as they are working tirelessly to dissociate themselves from his activities.

Seidu according to police investigators, received money from Sampson Aghaloro 27, who is the chief mastermind to purchase two pistols and rented a car for the operation which he did.

He was reported to have also arranged their accommodation and other things prior to their arrival in Ghana on May 28, 2019.

Jeff Omasa 28, Elvis Ojiowe 27, Sampson Aghaloro 27 all three Nigerians subsequently arrived in the country on 28th May 19 , stayed in different hotels in Ashaiman and moved to Kumasi after six days.

They lodged in St. Patrick hotel at Aboabo and with the help of Seidu Mba monitored the movements of the Canadian girls who lodged at Charity hotel at Asokwa.

On 2nd June 19, the four-member gang trailed three Canadian girls to a distance of about 600 metres and kidnapped two of them amidst warning shots from the two pistols they were wielding. They took them to a rented two-bedroom uncompleted apartment at Abirem Wamoase.

They were kept there under the guard of two of the suspects, Jeff and Elvis until they were rescued by the security operatives.

The leader of the group, Sampson Aghaloro intimated that in the course of keeping the victims' hostage he got in touch of their parents and demanded $800,000 but they pleaded to offer $47,000.
