Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh on Sunday, June 9, 2024, joined his grandfather, the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the durbar of the Ga State to honour His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The event followed the Ga Mantse’s recent participation in the 25th-anniversary celebration of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s ascension to the Golden Stool and his 74th birthday celebration.

The reciprocal visit is a testament to the strong bond of affection between the two traditional rulers.

The Energy Minister, who had paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse on Friday, June 7, 2024, reiterated the need for enhanced cordial relations among Ghanaian ethnic groups.

Dr. Prempeh mentioned he "believes that this forms the foundation for progress and development in the country."

During his historic visit, the Asantehene pledged GH¢500,000 as seed money to establish an Education Endowment Fund for the Ga State.
