FA wants to appoint two assistant coaches for Black Stars
President of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi has revealed that the FA is considering appointing two assistant coaches to support Kwesi Appiah in managing the Black Stars of Ghana and the Local Black Stars. In an Interview with Class FM Sports, the President insisted that it will be in the interest of the head Coach.
“There is a consideration to appoint two assistant Coaches, because the head coach of the Black Stars will also head the Local Black Stars so we think it will be wise for the person to have two assistants who will assist in managing the two National teams, we also think the assistants should be people who are capable of being trained to take up the mantle one day in future”.
Reports are already surfacing with several sources claiming that former Black Stars and assistant Coach of Cameroon Ibrahim Tanko and Maxwell Konadu will be given the nod to assist Kwesi Appiah.
