Bishop Paa Solomon Grant-Essilfie laying foundation for the construction of Breman Asikuma SHS
Right Reverend Paa Solomon Grant-Essilfie, Bishop of Winneba Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana has laid the foundation stone for the construction of a GHC 220, 000.00 administration block for Breman Asikuma Senior High School (BASS).
The Block which is the 55th Anniversary project for the School, when completed, will have separate offices for heads of departments and Assistant Headmasters, a hall for staff meetings and examination coordinators and a room for storage of examination materials.
Bishop Grant-Essilfie in brief remarks bemoaned the lack of offices, which compelled heads of departments to hold meetings under trees or in the staff common room and prayed that God, by whom the foundation of the earth was laid would guide and strengthen the school authorities to complete the project on time.
Mr. James Bambel, Headmaster of the School at fundraising during the ceremony expressed concern that the current staff room had become smaller due to the ever-increasing number of teachers compelling many of them to stay outside during staff meetings.
The two Assistant Headmasters are currently occupying part of the school library, which is not spacious enough for the ever-increasing student population, hence the need for the construction of a new administration.
He, therefore, appealed to Philanthropists, past students, the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Assembly, and the Breman Traditional to assist the School to complete the project to help ease the congestion in the School.
The Headmaster also extended the School’s appreciation to Chiefs in the area, Methodist Church Ghana, old students, PTA Executives, Parent and other stakeholders for their support, which had sustained the School and pledged to work harder to improve on the performance of students.
