The ruling New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Chief Scribe, John Boadu, says he has on several occasions saved excavators belonging to his party members from been set ablaze by the anti-Galamsey taskforce.
According to him, his duty as the party's General Secretary is not to be in the office always but also to help party members who are in dire need.
"Yes, I intervened to save some excavators; that is my job," he said in an interview with NEAT FM's morning show 'Ghana Montie'.
John Boadu explained his alleged involvement in illegal mining, which President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has banned.
To him, allegations that he is into illegal mining is "untrue" but instead used his office to save some miners.
