God has already declared Mahama victor in December - Kofi Adams
Kofi Adams, spokesperson to former president Jerry Rawlings has predicted a ‘one touch’ victory for President John Mahama in the upcoming general elections on December 7.
He said God has already ordained the President as winner of the December polls therefore the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) will not use foul means to win the elections.
Kofi Adams comment comes on the back of allegations that the ruling party is plotting the rig the elections to retain power.
The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) claims it has cited a document dubbed which outlines the NDC's plans to disrupt the elections in its strongholds.
The NPP alleges that the ruling party intends to cut off power supply in its strong holds in order to facilitate supposed rigging of the polls.
But on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday, Kofi Adams pooh poohed the NPP’s claim describing it as a cry of “a desperate loser”.
He noted that the NPP, seeing a looming defeat, wants to clutch on to straws.
Kofi Adams intimated that the conduct of the opposition party has the tendency to create insecurity in the country.
The former presidential aide assured Ghanaians of optimum security, free, fair and transparent election under the Mahama-led government.
He asked party supporters to eschew violence; emulate the demeanor of the President and campaign vigorously to retain the NDC in power to advance the Better Ghana.
The embattled Deputy General Secretary of the NDC was convinced that given the unprecedented achievements by government in its first term coupled with its juicy policy proposals in all sectors of the economy, a ‘one touch’ victory will be the best reward.
Kofi Adams urged Ghanaians to commit themselves to prayer and exercise their franchise in a peaceful manner.
