Government will fulfill 80% of campaign promises in first term – Hamid
Presidential spokesperson, Mustapha Hamid, is optimistic that the Nana Addo government will fulfill 80 percent of its campaign promises in 4-years.
According to him, though expectations are high, Ghanaians should be patient because the government will not disappoint them.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Wednesday, Mustapha Hamid indicated that President Akufo-Addo has already delivered on a number of the promises.
This he said was an indication that all campaign promises will be fulfilled before his first term ends.
“We understand the complaints from Ghanaians and it is important that we let them know that we are working hard to make life easier for them. I can assure you that 80% of campaign promises will be fulfilled by end of the four year period; trust us”, he said.
Members of the opposition NDC have criticized the Akufo-Addo government for making numerous promises and not being able to fulfil them despite the roll-out of flagship policies such as the Free Senior High School and the restoration of nurses and teacher trainee allowances.
But Mr Hamid believes the Akufo-Addo government is working hard to deliver on all of the remaining promises he made to Ghanaians.
