Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan and winger Christian Atsu failed to complete the second day of training with the team in Cape Coast on Wednesday after sustaining what is suspected to be thigh injuries.
The two players limped out of training and stayed on the sidelines until the end of the session.
Atsu will be observed by the medical team before a decision is taken on his availability for the match on Sunday and Gyan will have to undergo a scan on Thursday to determine the extent of his injury.
GFA spokesperson Ibrahim Saane Daara clearly stated that Atsu had a thigh problem before joining the team on Tuesday.
The rest of the team is expected to continue training at the Cape Coast Stadium ahead of Sunday’s match against Egypt.
