A founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe, has questioned the legacy of the outgoing president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He believes the president is not leaving anything positive behind for the country.

Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe expressed his views during an interview with Accra-based TV3.

“Talking about the legacy of Nana Addo will be a bit of a problem for me. Ghanaians should deeply regret voting him into power. Since 2016, if you ask me about his legacy, his reign clearly shows,” he said. When asked whether the president hasn’t left anything positive behind, he responded, “What positive?”

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will leave office on January 7, 2025 following the swearing-in of John Dramani Mahama as President of the Republic of Ghana.

In his final State of the Nation Address, Nana Akufo-Addo stated that Ghana is not broke, contrary to claims made by propagandists.

He affirmed that he is leaving behind a functioning country with an economy that has returned to pre-COVID levels.
