Ghanaian socialite, Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia4Reall, has said that she misses Ghanaians despite being sentenced to one year and a day's imprisonment in the United States of America (USA) over fraudulent activities.
She noted that her absence from the country has made some people miss her, a sentiment she shares.
In a video shared by Marigyata on Instagram, Hajia4Reall was spotted in New York, U.S with popular artiste manager, Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, also known as Bullgod, taking a stroll together.
When approached by a blogger who asked what she had to say to Ghanaians who miss her, the socialite responded, "I miss you all so much. Currently, we are at Times Square in New York City. If Ghanaians miss me, I miss them even more."
Despite the news about her sentencing to jail, Hajia4Reall was beaming with smiles and looked quite excited.
Netizens on social media who followed the livestream expressed shock over why she would be seen outside while reported to be in jail.
Others were pleased that she looked excited regardless of her predicament.
The comment followed the sentencing of Hajia4Reall to one year and one day in a U.S. prison for her role in a romance scam that amassed over $2 million.
She was apprehended in the UK in November 2022 and subsequently extradited to the U.S. in May 2023.
Although she faced a possible five-year term after her guilty plea in February 2024, the judge showed clemency, partly accounting for "good time" in her sentencing.
