I won’t judge Nyantakyi – Alhaji Grunsah
An avid critic of former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi is calling for caution when discussing his ban by FIFA.
Alhaji Karim Grunsah said instead of vilifying Mr. Nyantakyi for his predicaments, it must serve as a lesson to everyone involved in football.
This position by the Founder and President of the King Faisal Football Club will come as a surprise to many but he insists he will not judge Mr. Nyantakyi.
His comment comes after FIFA’s adjudicatory chamber found Mr. Nyantakyi guilty of having violated Article 19 (conflict of interest), Article 21 (Bribery and corruption) and Article 22 (Commission) of the FIFA Code of Ethics, 2012 edition.
Mr. Nyantakyi has additionally been fined 500,000 Swiss Francs (over GHS 2.4million).
Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Tuesday, the outspoken football administrator said FIFA’s ban was no news.
‘We all knew that Nyantakyi was guilty so I didn’t know why people are making noise about FIFA’s ban. Football people should rather learn,” he stressed.
Rather, Alhaji Grunsah said, those vying for the top job in Ghana and are jubilating over Kwesi Nyantakyi’s fall should know that no human being is beyond sin.
“If you see your neighbour’s beard on fire, water your own,” he added.
