In Politics, Age is a Number and Beauty a Character - Nana Akufo Addo

Until the bones are brittle, broken and rotten, Nana Akufo Addo Dankwa, currently alias DAVID, wants to tell his rivals, enemies and well-wishers alike that age, in life, marriage and politics, is merely a number.

Age is how you see it and make out of it at every rung of your physical and political life. When you are physically fit, mentally sound and politically able, age does not in any way become an obstruction to your aspirations to be of service to your nation and humanity in any capacity or form.

Therefore, the frequent citing of Nana Akufo Addo’s age to deter him from ever serving his nation in the capacity of President is quite malicious, uncalled for and nonsensical.

I would in any day; time and place choose a wise old, able, dynamic, honest and dedicated person to be at the helm of national affairs over a young dishonest, corrupt, short-sighted and lazy person to do the same job.

During the electioneering campaign of 2012, then NDC Presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama appealed for majority votes on grounds of being a youth. Many people although never saw the relevance in his request, some voted for him and Kwadwo Afari Gyan collusively with some NDC party members ended up rigging the election for him. This is a fact that no living being can make me believe differently despite the Supreme Court ruling to the contrary. Their verdict was laughably a travesty of justice, they are aware of that.

Now Mahama, an election stealer to some people, and an unprecedented corrupt President Ghana has ever had to others, is aimlessly wobbling and paddling in the tidal seas at the presidency. He is almost lost at the high seas but stupidly refusing to send out the distress signal to attract attention that he is in difficulty and needs to be rescued.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so they say. Beauty again is only skin deep but ugliness cuts across the bones. However, to philosophers, beauty is not about the personal appearance of someone but their character. Beauty is character. If your character is good, you are said to be beautiful. If your character stinks as it is in the case of John Mahama, an acclaimed womaniser, a corrupt and an incompetent President, then you are ugly.

I shall prefer someone of ugly physical appearance but of noble character to another of nice physique but treacherous character.

Ghanaians are today suffering because they chose a young man of nice facial appearance, youthful but of questionable character over an old man, less handsome but full of glittering honesty, sincerity, dynamism and farsightedness.

Anyway, Ghanaians never voted in their majority for John Mahama and the NDC but stealers as they have proven themselves to be, they stole the elections. This was proven during the live telecast of the Supreme Court proceedings on Election 2012 petition despite the final travestied judgment rendered by Justice William Atuguba and his other eight- judge colleague.

Will you go for a young clueless person who is as well incompetent, visionless and extremely corrupt or you will rather prefer an aged person who is wise, of excellent character, honest, sincere, visionary and incorruptible, to rule Ghana? The choice is yours. The wise judgment you make today will set you free forever but the foolish judgment you make will not haunt only you but torment many others for the rest of their days on earth.

Ghanaians are suffering. This is a fact. I hope no one will behave like an ostrich on this simple fact. Which side of the age divide are you on, my dear Reader?

HATE ME, BUT FOR A GOOD REASON!

Stay tuned to read more truth-telling and fact-inundated write-ups from the wise one from Kumawu/Asiampa who is overflowing with wisdom. Mahama is too obstinate to drink from my fountain of overflowing wisdom.

I am always for the wise old man. Age is an indication of wisdom. Nana Akufo Addo all the way!
