Aduana Stars shot-stopper Joseph Addo has attributed their Ghana League title crown to mental toughness.
The Fire Boys were closely marked on the just ended league standings by Sogakofe-based WAFA during their run-in to winning the crown.
Speaking to reporters in the aftermath of their victory over Berekum Chelsea in an organized coronation match at the Nana Agyemang Badu II on Sunday, Addo intimated his pleasure after achieving their target but recounts how they nearly lost focus at some point in the league.
“We thank God for realizing this day. It wasn’t easy during the start of the league and we nearly gave up our quest to win the league somewhere in mid season, but am really happy we were able to overcome all the challenges and emerging victors,” Addo said.
Aduana Stars will represent Ghana in next season’s Champions League scheduled for February 2018.
