In a heartfelt tribute to his late father, Kofi Sam Atta-Mills led the John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills Peace Walk For Change this past weekend in Cape Coast.
This moving event was organised in honour of Ghana's former president, John Evans Atta Mills, and marked the 12th anniversary of his passing.
Hundreds of participants came together to celebrate the legacy of a leader who was a steadfast advocate for peace and unity.
Despite early morning showers, the turnout was impressive, with attendees showing up in large numbers.
The walk concluded at the Atta Mills Presidential Library, located opposite the Cape Coast Castle.
There, Kofi Sam Atta-Mills addressed the enthusiastic crowd, reflecting on his father's enduring legacy of peace and his unwavering commitment to bringing people together.
The event was a powerful testament to the profound impact President Mills had on countless lives.
The walk was attended by many bigwigs within the NDC, including Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South; Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku, Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North; Nii Lante Vanderpuye, Member of Parliament for Odododiodio; Kofi Totobi Quakyi, former Minister for National Security; Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, a former Director of Elections for the NDC; Joseph Yamin, National Organiser of the party; Chief Biney, NDC Deputy Campaign Coordinator; Mustapha Gbande, Deputy General Secretary; Ruth Dela Sedor, Deputy National Youth Organiser; and Henry Osei Akoto, a former parliamentary candidate for Oforikrom, among others.
Others were: Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah (Acting Regional Chairman); Gabriel Nii Kommey Adams (Regional Secretary); Joseph Abakah Mensah (Deputy Regional Organizer); Faustina Lamptey (Regional Women’s Organizer); Eric Offei (Deputy Regional Secretary); Kweku Arko Yeboah (Deputy Regional Communications Officer); Muhammed Kofi Twumasi Nayyar (Regional Organize); Ebenezer Abubakar Abeiku Essien (Deputy Regional Youth Organizer); Prince Kojo Gyamfi (Deputy Regional Youth Organizer); Alhaji Abubakar Hajj Issah ( Regional Security and Intelligence); Awal O'Neal (Deputy Regional Security and Intelligence Coordinator).
Their presence highlighted the significance of the occasion and the lasting influence of John Evans Atta Mills on Ghana's political landscape.
