Kurt Okraku to set up Medical Fund to cater for injured Ghanaian players

GFA Presidential candidate, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has pledged to set up a medical fund to cater for seriously injured Ghanaian players if elected into office.

The Dreams FC chief also indicated that players from the Premier League, Division One League (DOL) and Women’s Football will be registered on the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) with funds from the FA.

He reiterated this ‘GameChanger’ manifesto pledge during the GFA Presidential debate which was held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra on Monday.

“Medical Fund would be set up up to take care of serious injuries like ligament, bone injuries.

Also, 30 players of clubs from Premier, DOL and Women’s League would also be enrolled on NHIS for easy and accessible healthcare”
