Rapper Kwaw Kese has heaped praises on fans of Shatta Wale who attacked him with bottles during his performance at the dancehall artiste’s 'Wonder Boy' album launch at the Fantasy Dome, on October 19, this year.
Kwaw Kese, who has had a 'beef' with Shatta Wale since last year, was met with violence while on stage as some patrons began pelting him with bottles.
Few weeks after the incident, the Fante rapper released a song titled ‘Bottles’ and he asserts he’s been taken aback by the positive reception to the song.
In an interview with 3FM’s MzGee, ‘the man insane’ described the incident as a blessing in disguise.
“The song is all over the place now. I was even surprised. We went for a show, though the ‘Dondo’ is big, the fans were craving for me to perform ‘Bottles’. It’s a big song. I want to thank the SM fans for throwing the bottles,” he said.
Earlier, Kwaw Kese expressed utmost disappointment in Shatta Wale and his management for the loud silence over the issue.
"I am not disappointed in the fans, I am disappointed in the management for not reaching to me after the incident,” he said on Joy FM. “Maybe, to them what happened was good and that's why they have not come out to say anything. His management got in touch with my management and asked me to perform. I was to be the surprise artiste and being the professional that I am, I accepted to perform.”
Meanwhile the rapper is proposing that his song ‘Dondo’ should be “adopted as a national asset” so it can be used “to promote tourism.”
