Takoradi, Sept 9,GNA- The Methodist Youths Fellowship of Ghana, on Tuesday expressed worry over the spate of homosexuality and the politics of insults that were gradually creeping into the fibre of society.

The youth fellowship in a communiqué to mark the end of their 12 Biennial National Delegates conference said, “We the youths call on the state and the church to come out strongly to condemn these detestable acts and pray fervently against it in order to avert the anger of God”.

The communiqué added that the current trend of politics of insults promoted by some media houses and political parties was unacceptable.

“We therefore call on all political parties to be mindful of the fact that the nation is of one people and should therefore stay focused on their political ideology and messages devoid of insults”.

The communiqué signed by Mr. Thomas Bright Eshun encouraged the youths to stay out of all forms of social vices- political, religious or tribal and spend their time and energy productively.

It also urged the leadership of the state to find lasting solution to unemployment, poverty and other social vices.

The fellowship also called on the leadership of the church to promote unity among the members and organizations in the church and discard the perception that young people were only good for certain activities and not decision-making.
