Love Oduro, an 80-year-old retired educationist at the weekend, won the first of MoneyGram’s six Suzuki Altos as part of a grand promotion to celebrate Ghana’s 60th independence anniversary at Nungua, Accra.

The promotion is open to customers, who receive GH¢1,000 or more in transactions from February 28, 2017 to 30th June, 2017.

Mrs Oduro expressed appreciation to MoneyGram and ADB for the prize.

Regional Manager for Anglophone West Africa for MoneyGram, Patrick Appiah, in a remark, said MoneyGram was committed to providing quality services to its numerous customers.

He said the increased competition in the money transfer space made it necessary to adjust their strategies to stay relevant in business.

“Our pricing is competitive and it cannot be that we are expensive. Over the years, we have grown from strength to strength, and I do not think we should have been here if we had been that expensive,” he stated.

Head of e-Business and cards at ADB, Solomon Adu Atefoe, said his outfit has joined forces with MoneyGram to reduce turnaround time at the bank and attract more users of MoneyGram.

He called on Ghanaians to take advantage of MoneyGram to access remittances from their relations in the diaspora.
