Accra, July 19, GNA - Mr George Annan, a Ghanaian artist based in the Ivory Coast, on Wednesday presented 14 paintings and two sculptures depicting the nation's history fifty years ago as well as its culture, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mr Annan said he was inspired by the celebrations of Ghana's 50th anniversary and found it necessary to be a part of it by using his talent to contribute to Jubilee anniversary.

He donated a book, a compact disc, and an artwork meant for the President to the outgoing minister Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo. Receiving the donation, Nana Akufo-Addo entreated Ghanaians in the Diaspora to be patriotic and contribute to the country's development. He congratulated Mr Annan for his contribution, saying Ghana was one of the luckiest countries to have received such a present from a non-resident citizen.

Ghana's Ambassador to the Ivory Coast, Mr Kabral Blay-Amihere, expressed gratitude to Mr Annan for his good works.
