The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has debunked claims that two albums were used in the Ablekuma West Primary , which was won by the incumbent MP, Ursula Owusu Ekuful.

Some party delegates and the former Constituency Chairman , Theophilus Tetteh who was an aspirant but pulled out in the last minute, have suggested that , two albums were used in the primary to give undue advantage to Mrs Ekuful.

However in a statement, the party said, “The Election Directorate wishes to clarify that following the NEC decision of 30th March 2016, two albums were merged culminating in only ONE (1) album and which was used in yesterday's election. It is therefore completely erroneous as some seek to suggest after the merger, that two separate albums existed for the election”.
