Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila made an impressive debut for Serbian side Red Star Belgrade in their 2-1 away win Vozdovac on Saturday.
The centre-back demonstrated good potential for the Belgrade side even though his mix up with his goalkeeper led to the consolation for the home side.
He played the entire duration and demonstrated his prowess which drew some praise from some of the supporters of the club.
The 25-year-old is expected to be key for Vladan Milojevic this season following his debut for the capital=based club.
The Ghana international joined the Serbian giants on loan from Kuwaiti side Al Qadsia.
The former Asante Kotoko defender was making his first official appearance for Red Star since joining them last month.
The Ghana defender Sumaila has been handed the number 37 shirt at Red Star Belgrade and he played in the jersey in the first official game.
The Ghanaian completed his move to the former European champions after signing a one-year deal.
