Since the first Pilgrims from Europe originate the celebration of
Thanksgiving on the American landscape many years ago, immigrants from other nations
have embraced the tradition as they come to settle in this great nation.
Communities across the USA celebrate this age old American day of
"gratitude" in diverse ways and the Ghanaian community across the USA was in no way
left out this year. Part of the Ghanaian Community in the Los Angeles area
celebrated the day with the Augustt family. To remember their roots and country
of birth, the gathering was entertained with Ghanaian High life music. Other
activities included basketball and pool games; and many other fun activities.
